The 8th Grade Vote That Predicted My Career
A lot of people have asked me about my story...
While I don't talk about myself a lot, I thought it was important to share how I got to where I am today.
It started in 8th grade when everyone was picking their standouts for the yearbook.
If you don't know, it's like "Most likely to be a comedian." Or "Most likely to be a professional athlete."
To this day, I'm not sure why my classmates chose this, but I was voted as...
"Most likely to become a CEO."
In my head, I was confused.
π "Am I supposed to be the next Steve Jobs or something?"
I never saw myself running my own business.
Years went by, and it became an afterthought.
Fast forward to today, and I’m able to look back at the impact created.
For myself, I...
π‘ Started my own business and became CEO of my small team.
π‘ Have a path to be financially secure at 22, right out of college.
π‘ Created a career I love, combining music education, entrepreneurship, and DJ-ing.
π‘ Designed a business model that lets me serve clients at my highest energy.
π‘ Invested in mentors to help me grow into the Ben I want to be.
But more importantly, for others...
β Music teachers now earn more money, time, and freedom while teaching what they love.
β Hundreds of students have new opportunities to learn music.
β We’ve redefined the value of music education in our culture.
And that puts a smile on my face, knowing that the reason I pursued this career was to spread music education.
So every student can see the true value of music—not as an extracurricular, but a crucial investment in creating a joyful, meaningful life.
I didn’t start with a "moral of the story" in mind, but I hope this inspires you to take action today.
π₯ Take action no matter where you are in life.
π₯ Take action knowing you’re changing lives with music.
π₯ Take action knowing it takes one decision to become an irresistible music teacher.
